At Dental Excel, we provide dental implants for eligible patients of all ages. Whether you’re looking to replace missing teeth or stabilise dentures, we’re here to help you.
Dental Excel Beerwah, our flagship practice for 25 years, is also home to the Dental Implant Centre. We’re investing in technologies and using some of the latest implant techniques to ensure our patients are comfortable and well-cared for every step of the way.
What are dental implants?
Dental implants are designed to replace the root of the tooth. Often constructed from medical grade metal, the implants give a strong foundation within the jawbone for the artificial visible tooth above the gumline. Implants can be fixed or removable.
What types of implants are there?
There are two types of dental implant: endosteal and subperiosteal. The most commonly used type of dental implant is the endosteal implants. These are embedded and are capable of holding one or more artificial teeth.
A subperiosteal implant is fixed to the top of the bone. This option is most typically used for patients that have limited height to the jawbone.
Dental Excel Implant Centre – what we do
The Dental Excel Implant Centre operates from our flagship Beerwah location. You can have your free consultation and subsequent procedures at another of our five locations, though, not just at Beerwah.
We start with a comprehensive consultation and assessment to determine the patients’ eligibility for dental implants. This consultation is free of charge. If you’d like to know more about dental implants consultations at Dental Excel, please give our Beerwah or your local team a call.
What happens during an implants assessment?
If you’re already a patient at Dental Excel, we’ll already know who you are and your dental history. If you’re new to us, then there will be some inevitable paperwork to fill in. It won’t take long, and our front desk team are there to help if you need them.
One of our experienced implant dentists will then give your teeth and gums a comprehensive assessment. You might have a scan of your teeth carried out or an x-ray so that we can get the full picture.
Can anyone have dental implants?
Dental implants are not suitable for every patient. A number of reasons can influence eligibility, including certain illnesses, treatments or medication, the health of the existing teeth and gums and the structure of the jawbone. Some patients may require treatment or dental work before they can have implants, others may not be able to have them at all.
Dental Excel dentists will talk you through your options following your comprehensive oral assessment and answer any questions you might have. We can help you plan your treatment to suit your commitments and offer a range of payment plans to help you spread the cost.
